On 21 October 1983, the General Conference on Weights and Measures adopted value for the speed of light.
On the occasion of this anniversary, every year hundreds of activities are voluntarily organised over around the world. The purpose is to promote photonics and inform the general public on what are photonics technologies, why they are important, and generally support this key-enabling technology.
We encourage you to join us in the promotion of photonics and to organise an activity.
The activities don’t have to take place on exactly the 21st of October, it can be the week before or the week after, but this anniversary is a good excuse to organize something. It can be as small as sending your staff a piece of chocolate with the Day of Photonics logo or as big as asking your marketing team to organise an online conference or webinar.
All that we ask is that you try to integrate the logo of the Day of Photonics which can be found here, and to send us a screenshot or picture of your activity at DAY-OF-PHOTONICS@epic-assoc.com
