30th Quadrennial Session of the CIE – CIE 2023
«Innovative Lighting Technologies»

Preparations are underway for CIE 2023, which will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia September. All involved in organizing this key CIE event are looking forward to welcoming you.

The Quadrennial Session runs from September 15 – 23, 2023, with the conference CIE 2023 running from September 18 – 20. Now is a great time to mark your calendar with these dates!

The broad theme for CIE 2023 is «Innovative Lighting Technologies», and the conference will be accepting abstracts on the topics of our six Divisions and on:
Smart lighting
Sustainable lighting technologies and practices;
Integrative lighting for outdoors and indoors;
Metrology for new technologies; and
Image display in augmented and virtual reality modes.

Prizes at CIE 2023
As at CIE 2021 there will be prizes awarded for: Best Oral Presentation; Best Student Oral Presentation; and Best Poster Paper. The prizes will be a selection of up to three CIE publication and free registration at CIE 2025 and consideration for the «best of papers» to be included in a special issue of the journal LR&T.

Only submitted full conference papers will considered for these awards. The Best Student Oral Presentation will be awarded to a paper where the main author is a student and is the person presenting the paper at CIE 2021.
